Birstall And District Art Society - Autumn Art Workshops

Ian Cox will be holding our second autumn art work shop

in Wanlip Church Hall.

On Monday 12th October from 10am to 3:30pm.

Cost £30.00, to include coffee and biscuits throughout day.

You will need to bring a packed lunch.

Sign up at a Friday morning or let Pauline know 07926352908.

In the workshop Ian will be looking at water, reflections and transparency. We will look at some images of rock pools and consider how we can represent the elements to show the texture of stone as well as the movement of the water.

Ian suggest we use acrylic paints due to the drying time and has included a materials list below:

Painting surface - this could be canvas, board or good quality watercolor paper - I would suggest at least A4

Paint - minimum palette would be white, mid yellow, yellow ochre, burnt umber, deep red, cobalt blue and ultramarine blue.

A range of brushes - Ian prefers flat or filberts

Water container and rags/kitchen roll
