Hello. Welcome to our website. Hopefully, it will give you a taste of what we do and what is available.

We have various Groups / Art sessions within the society.

 

1) During the Summer months we have outdoor Sketching sessions. These are free, informal get togethers at various places. Click Here

2) During the Winter months we have two series of Art Classes run by Professional Artists. These are normally a series of 6 classes through October and November and 6 classes through March and April. Click Here

3) At various times throughout the year, we have one off Day Workshops. Details of these will be added to the News Page as they become available. Click Here to view work from previous Day Workshops

4) Usually in March, we have an appraisal evening, when members can bring along up to three pieces of work for Appraisal / advice, by a Professional Artist. Click Here

5) In July we organise a coach trip to the Annual Art Festival at Patchings Art Centre in Nottinghamshire. Click Here to visit the Patchings website.

6) During November we hold our Annual Art Exhibition in The Birstall Village Hall, which is open to the public. Members can exhibit up to three Pieces of work, which can be for sale.

7) There is a Gallery Page on the website where members can exhibit up to six pieces of their work. These can be for sale if you wish. Click Here

8) Each month we have Live Art Demonstrations by a variety of Professional Artists. These are held in The Palmer Tompkinson Centre, Birstall. Click Here.

9) We meet weekly, on Wednesday Evenings and on Friday mornings, for an informal get togethers which provide a friendly venue for anyone to come along to paint or draw in their own style, medium and at their own pace. Click Here

9) The Society has a committee, which is elected at the Annual General Meeting in December. Click Here

Our Society has approx. sixty members (both women and men) of all ages. They are a sociable group that draw / paint in a variety of styles and mediums, with varying degrees of skill.

If you are interested in joining our band of people with an interest in making Art, please come and join us. We would love to see you. A good place to start might be to come to one of the Friday morning get togethers. Your first Friday session is free. Alternatively you could come to one of the Live Demonstrations. Either way, please introduce yourself and you will be made most welcome.
